Layered Memory

I am building a better memory layer for Claude Code, one problem at a time. This first entry maps the territory: what Claude Code already gives us, where it breaks down for multi-repo work, and the approach I am taking with layered-memory. More entries are planned. Each one will unpack a real issue I hit while building this, how I solved it and what improvements came next.
